Dated A.D 1808
The scene is a setting for the meeting of Radha and Krishna. They are seen in the open- fronted chamber at top left, Radha clinging to Krishna and looking in the direction to which he points with his extended hand. The birds are still in their cages, but apparently making shrill noises. A candle under a domed glass case burns in a corner of the chamber, emphasizing the time of the night.

Ascribed to a Master of the Second Generation after Nainsukh,
Gouache on paper,
c. 1825 - 1830,
Todi, the Ragini linked in different texts to varying Ragas, is among the most easily identifiable of the musical modes visualized in Ragamala iconography. She is represented as a young and beautiful damsel, passionately in love but separated from her lover, wandering about in the forests, playing on a small stringed instrument.
